Painting Apprentice

We are currently looking for an apprentice to join our team.   

About our Business

  • We are a small Brisbane based company that deals mainly in commercial spaces and the occasional residential spaces.
  • You'll be working along side with as many as 6 others but based on the jobs, you'll usually be working with about 2-3 others.
  • You'll be expected to work 40 hours a week with 2 hours RDO given per week, which brings it down to a 38 hour week.

Duties will include:  

  • Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
  • Carrying paint and materials to various job sites.
  • Loading and unloading of paint and materials to various job sites.
  • Packing and cleaning up job sites.
  • Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, washing etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
  • Apply varnish and other finishes.
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  • Assisting other Tradesman in various work tasks.
