J & T Services are searching for new trainees that are looking for a great opportunity to learn a new trade. Trainees will be expected to complete a Certificate III in telecommunications over a 2 year period. The job will be based on the sunshine coast as part of the NBN FTTP roll out.
Job Task will include;
- Running new fibre into customer premises
- Fixing customer conduits, by trenching or pot holing
- Fault finding
- Testing and commissioning new services.
Candidates will be required to have:
- Industry white card
- Drivers licence
- Proof of Australian citizenship
- Current police check
Hourly rates will be $30 to start, which is well above award wage. After completing the first 6 month block and passing the Cert II qualification, expectations are that the candidate will be working with a company car and fuel card on $40-45 per hour. After the 2 years, the trainee will have a full CERT III qualification and all endorsements.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
