1st or 2nd Year Spray Painting Apprentice

Northern Smash is currently looking for a 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Spray Painter to join the team. 

Working with qualified and skilled spray painters you will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support. 

If you have a passion with cars and want to make it into a career, this is the job for you! 

Duties will involve: 

• Repair damaged vehicle bodies
• Mask up areas of vehicle bodies and components in readiness for spraying
• Apply basic colour matching techniques using vehicle paint codes
• Spray paint new vehicle bodies
• Prep and sand areas to be spray painted
• Touch up minor vehicle paintwork damage
• Cleaning of the shop
• Storeroom maintenance

The successful candidate will:

• Be a confident communicator
• Motivated with a genuine interest in the automotive industry
• Be trustworthy and reliable

Preferred but not essential: 

• Have manual driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
