Part time Apprentice Gardener

We are currently have an exciting opportunity for a gardening  apprentice to join our team in Glen Waverley.
You will be working alongside our highly skilled people, mastering your trade. All ages and female are encouraged to apply, and the position is for 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities for this position include: 

  • To assist in maintaining and developing the designated areas to the required standard in a timely manner
  • Assist in the maintenance and construction of new/replacement garden and tree maintenance/planting. 
  • Grass cutting (using walk-behind, ride-on and our-front mowers, edges and brush cutters).
  • All  other gardening related work
  • General tidying up and rubbish removal. 
  • Weed control (manual removal and minor herbicide use). 
  • Assure quality of work is performed to a high standard in accordance with expected standards. 
  • Complete study and on job components to meet qualification requirements. 

To be successful you will need to have the following:
Must have:

  • Ability to undertake manual/physical work
  • Genuine interest in gardening and/or landscaping
  • Punctual, reliable and energetic
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Good, strong work ethics and time management skills
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Can do attitude
  • Have a licence or ability to get one in the next 12 months

Preferred but not essential:

  • Driver Licence
  • Own car 

Applicants may be required to work some Saturdays.
