CJ’s Pastries is a family-owned business with two generations that work within the business, and we are now hiring for a School Based Apprentice Bread Baker.
CJ's Pastries is famous for its pies and coffees. There is something for everyone at CJ’s pastries. We offer a range of baked goods from pies and sausages to sweet treats.
About the Apprenticeship
Apprentice bakers will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to work as a baker in a retail or wholesale bakery, or in a commercial kitchen. Bakers prepare a variety of baked goods.
Your main duties include but not limited to:
- Producing basic bread products
- Decorate sweet pastries
- Mixing
- Moulding doughs
- Assisting in product preparation and baking
- Oven work
- Providing delightful customer service when required
- Maintaining bakery cleanliness to WHS Standards
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for the baking industry
- Be punctual & reliable
- Keen to learn all aspects of the trade
- Be well presented
*No nightshifts or too early of starts*
