A little bit about the company, we:
- Specialise in custom-designed and manufactured hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Green Energy systems - Hydrogen stations and refuellers.
- Instrumentation and tube bending.
The successful candidate will be required to complete the Certificate III Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
In this role, you will enjoy being exposed to, learning, and mastering:
- Welding equipment.
- Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling, and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment.
- Workshop Hand Tools.
- Milling machines and lathes.
- Constructing and assembling mechanical systems.
- Assisting with root cause analysis investigations.
- Pneumatic & Hydraulic circuit comprehension.
- Learning to read and understand CAD drawings to construct custom components.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work done.
- Maintain accurate records of all system components and build sheets/templates.
- Sensible and Safe workshop practices.
The successful applicant must have:
- A genuine desire to become a qualified engineering tradesperson and committed to on and off-the-job training
- A mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Completed Grade 12
- Completed an Engineering pre-apprenticeship course.
- A basic knowledge of hand tools
- A positive work ethic and self-motivated
- A Driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- A forklift licence is preferred.
Note: To be eligible for an apprenticeship, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have full working rights.
Unfortunately, this is a full-time position and not suitable for school-based apprenticeship at this stage.
