Join our tight-knit team at WBG Trailer Repairs! Located near the M5/M7 interchange at Prestons.
Currently seeking skilled and versatile individuals passionate about Trucks and Trailers.
Multiple positions available suited to persons already qualified in this field and are looking for a change or progression in the industry.
- 3rd or 4th Year Metal Fabricator / Body Builder Apprentices
The successful candidates will receive on-the-job training for our specific area of expertise – specialising in the certification, repair and maintenance of road tankers that transport petroleum and lubricant products. Experience in this industry would be an advantage.
The positions available involve a wide range of tasks including:
- Metal Fabrication
- Welding – aluminium, mild steel (tig & mig)
- Mechanical servicing
- Brake/suspension repairs
- Industry-specialised inspections including hose and fire extinguisher testing and tagging
- Hydrostatic testing & degas
- Other repairs and refurbishments of trucks and trailers
We are looking for applicants who have the following attributes:
- Passionate about metal fabrication and welding, and who are mechanically minded.
- Knowledge and interest in trailer mechanics.
- Ability to work with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems desirable.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Versatile with transferrable skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Able to work both in a team or with minimal supervision.
- Following additional certifications will be highly regarded:
- Confined space
- Heights
- Fork Lift
- First Aid
- Must have authorisation to work in Australia.
