The Automotive Institute of Technology  (MTA WA) have a number of positions for Panel Beating Apprentices in the Perth Metro area. Panel beaters remove damaged panels from the vehicle which may involve unbolting or cutting. In some cases dents are hammered out, in others the panels need to be replaced. If the vehicle is badly damaged it may need to be pulled back into shape using an auto robot. The panel beater needs to fill any gaps, then file, ground and sand them to a smooth finish. Any other parts that have been removed, such as locks or handles, are replaced.

If you are passionate about repairing and restoring motor vehicles, this the trade for you. Applicants must live within local proximity of this location.

Panel Beating is a 3 1/2 year apprenticeship duration, you will be supported throughout  your apprenticeship by a team of experts to ensure you complete your training under their guidance.

A drivers licence would be essential, applicants who have some prior industry exposure or have obtained an associated pre-apprenticeship (Certificate II) would be highly desirable.
