Effective 1 July 2019, the $4,000 Support for Adult Australian Apprentices (SAAA) incentive will be extended to include apprentices aged 21-24 years (currently only available for apprentices 25 and over). The SAAA incentive will be available to employers who hire and sign up eligible Australian Apprentices:
- Aged 21 and over, and
- Studying a Certificate III or IV level qualification identified on the National Skills Needs List
The SAAA incentive eligibility has been extended to not only create more employment and training opportunities for adult apprentices but also to increase the skills and capabilities of local industry.
Can't find your industry on the National Skills Needs List? You may still be eligible for other Government financial incentives available when you hire and sign up an apprentice or trainee.
