Building a successful career at Frasers Property Australia

15 May, 2017

Frasers Property Australia, one of Australia's leading diversified property groups, is all for helping their apprentices build successful careers. Four years ago, the company developed an apprenticeship scheme to foster and train new apprentices.

The scheme – which has proved very successful - aims to develop the skills necessary to allow young workers to step up into supervisory roles within the industry after their apprenticeship.

MEGT apprentice Jackie Wesley completed her Certificate III in Carpentry apprenticeship late last year with Frasers Property, and with the support of her employer has also successfully completed her Certificate IV in Building and Construction.

Jackie is now working for the company on a large development at Westmeadows, Victoria, as an Assistant Construction Supervisor.

Jackie’s colleague, MEGT apprentice Frankie D’Abate, was recently presented with his Certificate III in Carpentry by his employer after finishing his apprenticeship in March 2017.  He has since completed further study – including a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, a Certificate IV in Building Management, a Diploma of Building and Construction AND a Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety!

With all those qualifications under his belt, Frankie now is still completing work for Frasers Property as a subcontractor.

Frasers Property works nationwide, developing residential land, housing and apartments as well as commercial, retail and industrial properties. Frasers Property is also involved in investment property ownership and management, and property management.

The company employs apprentices in various states across Australia and over the years has helped many apprentices successfully complete their Carpentry apprenticeships.
