National Reconciliation Week - 2023

29 May, 2023

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation.

This year's NRW theme is ‘Be A Voice for Generations’.

These dates commemorate both the 1967 referendum in which Australians voted to alter elements of the constitution which discriminated against First Nations peoples, and the High Court's Mabo decision which recognised native title.

NRW is a time for individuals, organisations, workplaces, schools, universities and community groups to advance understanding of reconciliation within their own places and their own lives.

Introducing the MEGT National Reconciliation Week panel:

We’re honoured to present video of a discussion panel hosted by our First Nations Manager Josh Long (pictured below left). Josh is joined by (left to right) LOGiT Australia’s Salu Mam, Managing Director of Krueger Consultancy Wade Krueger and founder of Black Wattle Professional Services, Mel Syron. All three guests are proud First Nations people who discuss themes surrounding the ongoing journey of reconciliation, with each panellist bringing their unique insights and experiences to the forum.
