What a healthy collaboration!

6 November, 2019

In March 2019, MEGT joined forces with St.LukesHealth and TasTAFE to develop a first of its kind traineeship available in Tasmania.

The unique program creates a pathway for Tasmanian's looking to enter the health insurance sector, while also upskilling those in the industry.

The fully embedded training sees trainees complete a Certificate IV in General Insurance - aiming to strengthen the sector's workforce and address industry-specific needs.

Fast forward six months since the launch – MEGT is thrilled that the program received recognition at the Tasmanian Training Awards!

Held in early September, the Tasmanian Training Awards celebrates the contribution and achievements of those in the Vocational Educational and Training Sector – which MEGT had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending.

The program's combined efforts resulted in being awarded the 'Industry Collaboration Award' during the evening. The award recognises exemplary skills collaboration between an employer, industry body and organisation to deliver nationally recognised training.

A big thank you to our partners and for the State Training Awards for their recognition of contribution to the Health Insurance Sector.

MEGT is proud to work with the St.LukesHealth and TasTAFE to deliver this initiative - and look forward to future expansion!
