Akross Projects Australia has an opportunity for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice carpenter to join the team.
We specialise in all aspects of building and carpentry from footings to framing, lock up and fix to external cladding and decking encompassing new builds and renovations.
Excellent opportunity to join a busy crew and learn from qualified tradies in a supportive environment.
We work around the surrounding suburbs of Lake Macquarie and the Newcastle areas.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in various construction tasks and projects, under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Learn and apply building and construction techniques.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
To be successful you will need to have the following:
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work
- Be reliable and punctual
- Very keen to learn
- Have a good knowledge of hand tools
- Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry
- Ability to get to and from work independently
