About the role:

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in.

  • Provide Quality Supervision - Ensure children are safe, engaged, and well-supervised during activities, routines, and excursions.
  • Support Daily Routines - Assist with welcoming families, managing transitions, toileting, meals, and preparing activity materials.
  • Contribute to Program Planning - Help plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programs based on children's interests and needs.
  • Foster Child Development - Support social, emotional, language, and cognitive growth, including working with children with additional needs.
  • Maintain Health & Safety Standards - Conduct safety checks, report hazards, assist in managing incidents, and follow all health and hygiene protocols.

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in early childhood education, with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong personal attributes, including reliability, motivation, good time management, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn, including undertaking study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Essential requirements, holding a Working with Vulnerable People Card (or willing to obtain one), and having basic computer or data entry skills.
  • Pre-employment checks - including a police check and medical assessment.
