About the role:
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
- General administrative tasks across the service unit (e.g. ordering catering, ensuring availability of relevant documentation and set-up of council meetings, scheduling appointments and meetings)
- Preparing and distributing internal emails and/or posts
- Preparing purchase orders and requisitions
- Collating and responding to requests to speak at Council meetings
- Updating of Council's website and intranet pages with supplied and approved content
- Creating ID cards
What we're looking for:
- A commitment to delivering valued customer service in a timely manner.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team outcomes.
- Willingness to learn and provide accurate administrative support within a busy corporate environment including managing differing and changing priorities.
- Computer literacy skills across Microsoft applications, with attention to detail.
- An understanding of the discretion required when managing sensitive information
