We're seeking a motivated Apprentice Shipwright to join our multi-skilled team on a full-time, permanent basis — Monday to Friday. Ideally based in the Port Stephens area and must have reliable transport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver or entry-level applicant looking to begin their Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction and build a rewarding career in the marine industry.

You’ll gain experience in a wide variety of marine work, including:

  • Timber and fibreglass repairs & modifications
  • Custom fit-outs and marine systems installation
  • Work on both power and sail vessels
  • Use of hand and power tools in both workshop and marina environments
  • Occasional work at heights and on the water

  • Ideally based in the Port Stephens area.
  • Must have reliable transport 
  • Keen interest in boatbuilding and marine craftsmanship
  • Willing to learn and work hard as part of a hands on team
  • Physically fit, safety conscious, and comfortable using tools
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • well presented with strong attention to detail

 

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
