We're seeking a motivated Apprentice Shipwright to join our multi-skilled team on a full-time, permanent basis — Monday to Friday. Ideally based in the Port Stephens area and must have reliable transport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver or entry-level applicant looking to begin their Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction and build a rewarding career in the marine industry.
You’ll gain experience in a wide variety of marine work, including:
- Timber and fibreglass repairs & modifications
- Custom fit-outs and marine systems installation
- Work on both power and sail vessels
- Use of hand and power tools in both workshop and marina environments
- Occasional work at heights and on the water

What we're looking for:
- Ideally based in the Port Stephens area.
- Must have reliable transport
- Keen interest in boatbuilding and marine craftsmanship
- Willing to learn and work hard as part of a hands on team
- Physically fit, safety conscious, and comfortable using tools
- Good communication and time management skills
- well presented with strong attention to detail
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
