Electrical Services Queensland are currently looking for a Business Trainee to join our team ASAP.

This position would be perfect for a recent school leaver or someone looking to start their career in administration. If you are motivated with a great personality and willing to put everything you can into your role, we want to hear from you. 

We’re a family run business so we’re big fans of work/life balance. The position will be part time (approx 15-20 hours with the potential of full time further down the track) and will report to our Director and Administration Manager at our Brendale office.

As well as the regular office duties (customer service, monitoring emails, ordering stock etc) you will also be responsible for creating invoices, maintaining WHS records, preparing quote templates and ensuring our team of electricians submit their timesheets on time. Drivers licence and reliable vehicle are a must as you may be required to work at our second location on occasion. Weekend work may be required.

Tasks will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Reception duties and various administration tasks 
  • Maintain and update company databases 
  • Meeting and greeting clients into the office 
  • Printing and scanning documents/tenders
  • Providing first class customer service 
  • Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages) 
  • Manage office supplies stock and place orders 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a friendly personality 
  • Be reliable and punctual 
  • Have a mature approach to work and confidence to work autonomously. 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel is a must)
  • Have a great attitude towards new challenges & professional development 
  • Have high attention to detail 
  • Have strong organisational skills  
  • Hold current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
