Casting and Moulding Apprentice

We are currently looking for an Engineering Apprentice (Casting and Moulding Trade) to join the team. 

Working with qualified and skilled Trades people, you will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.  

Duties will involve:  

  • Making sand moulds
  • Painting and closing sand moulds
  • Assisting with pouring of molten metal into sand moulds
  • Carry out mechanical cutting and grinding of castings
  • ​Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment 
  • Heat treating of castings and inspection of the castings
  • Operating induction furnace

The successful candidate will:  

  • Be a confident communicator 
  • Be able to undertake manual/physical work 
  • Motivated with a genuine interest in the fabrication industry 
  • Be trustworthy and reliable 
  • ​Have a high level of attention to detail 

Suitable applicants must have a genuine interest in pursuing Foundry as a career path, be motivated and willing to work hard to get trade qualified. 

The successful candidate will undergo Certificate III in Engineering - Casting and moulding Trade.  

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
