MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients offering a Cert III Business qualification and becoming a valued member of their team, located in Hunters Hill, a suburb of North SYD.

About the company:

Our client is a local council and are seeking a Trainee to contributing to the growth of their office and join a community orientated company. Close to public transport and cafes, you will be joining a supportive team environment, that encourages learning on the job!

About the role:

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, via face to face, phone and email communication to all external clients and colleagues
  • Assist with the day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, and managing payments for both the manufacturing and e-commerce sides of the business.
  • Enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly and Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment management and Support the finance team with audits and end-of-year financial processes.

What we're looking for:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with a positive attitude, and organizational skills
  • Takes initiative, eager and willing to learn, attention to detail
  • Able to follow instructions, demonstrated customer service experience
  • Tech savvy - familiar with MS Word, MS Excel/Google Sheets (MUST), email suites and basic IT skills
  • Interest in or previous study in Highschool subjects such as: Business, Accounts, Finance, IT (highly advantageous)
