NAIDOC Week 2025

NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme honours young Indigenous leaders, their vision for the future, and the legacy of their ancestors. 

MEGT proudly supported NAIDOC Week events across four states, from events in big cities to towns like Townsville, Shepparton, Toowoomba, the Gold Coast, and Onslow. Over 50 MEGT staff, including seven Cooee Trainees, joined thousands of people for a week of colour, culture, and community. 

From face painting and barbecues to giveaways of footballs, bags, and giving away over 1,500 MEGT caps, it was a vibrant celebration of connection and pride.
