Medical Mob (QLD)

MEGT is proud to provide a supportive pathway for First Nations people aged 18-25 to start a fulfilling career.  Medical Mob is an paid, 18-week program located in Brisbane focused on building the foundational skills and confidence necessary to step into a healthcare administration job.

Get paid while you learn

Gain a nationally recognised qualification, work-readiness skills, hands-on experience, first aid knowledge and personalised support.

Throughout the program, participants will:

  • undertake a Certificate I in Workplace Skills
  • earn a wage
  • gain practical work-readiness, communications and Microsoft suite skills
  • get real workplace experience working in administration at Humanity Health Group
  • be supported by a team of experienced supervisors and mentors
  • make connections with potential employers
  • receive up to six months of post-program support to help you find and stay in work

Once the Medical Mob program is completed, participants will receive up to six months of post-program support to help you find and stay in work. Possible career pathways include working as a healthcare administration assistant, medical records clerk, medical receptionist, patient support officer or a practice support officer.

Laying the foundation for a career in healthcare

Medical Mob participants undertake the BSB10120 Certificate I in Workplace Skills with Major Training Group, the program's Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partner.

This qualification helps equip participants with fundamental skills and knowledge to succeed in a dynamic work environment and start a career in healthcare administration.
