MEGT acquires three Registered Training Organisations
MEGT has announced the acquisition of three Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) from the National Skills Academy Group Pty Ltd (NSAG).
The acquisition of Aurora Training & Professional Services Pty Ltd, JS2 Training Solutions Ltd, and Work Savvy Pty Ltd will enable MEGT to provide meaningful support for job seekers, trainees and apprentices.
MEGT’s CEO Matthew Hick said the acquisition reflects the organisation’s commitment to playing a constructive role in addressing Australia’s skills shortages.
“This acquisition supports our goal to strengthen pathways into training and education for young people and supporting employment outcomes for people who need it most.
By bringing these training organisations into the MEGT Group, we’re taking practical steps to strengthen our capability to support apprentices, trainees and employers, helping more people gain the skills and qualifications needed to participate in a changing economy.
If we want to build homes, transition energy, and meet growing care needs, we need a pipeline of skilled workers,” said MEGT CEO, Matthew Hick.
The RTOs deliver nationally accredited qualifications across several industries, including Business, Community Services, Financial Services, Retail and Hospitality, Food Processing, and Transport and Logistics, along with a range of additional skill sets.
This initiative aligns with MEGT’s Productivity Prospectus report – Unlocking productivity and prosperity through Australia’s Apprenticeship system which highlights the vital role that apprenticeships and traineeships play in addressing the nation’s skills challenges. The Prospectus presents clear evidence that increased investment in the apprenticeship system can deliver strong economic and social returns by lifting wages, deepening workforce capacity and driving productivity growth.
