Defence is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia, with large maritime defence industry projects requiring an ongoing skilled workforce pipeline.

Defence and South Metropolitan TAFE have jointly developed the Defence Industry Pathways Program, which MEGT is proud to support. The Program offers a 12-month traineeship in a rapidly growing, exciting industry.

Taking part in this traineeship offers the chance to jump into an exciting new career pathway in the defence industry, with on the job experience through three work placement rotations. This Program may open the door to a range of opportunities.

What will I be learning?

Trainees within the Program will attend block training at South Metro TAFE (Fremantle Campus) and will gain real-life experience through a 12-week work placement.
