1st Year Security Equipment Installation Apprentice
MEGT and Honeywell are looking for a 1st Year Security Equipment Installation Apprentice based in Darwin!
This customer-focused apprenticeship provides the opportunity to develop skills in understanding and addressing customer needs while gaining hands-on experience within the electronic security industry.
About the role
This apprenticeship/traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
- Assisting with the installation, servicing and maintenance of electronic security systems, including Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS), CCTV and alarm systems.
- Working alongside experienced technicians to configure security system hardware and software.
- Developing skills in fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on security systems.
- Assisting with the testing and commissioning of security equipment.
- Learning about a range of security products and services to support customer needs.
- Supporting the team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and following workplace procedures, safety requirements and industry standards.
- Participating in both on-the-job and formal training to develop technical knowledge and practical skill
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated interest in Information Technology, Electronics and computers
- Be willing to commit to the completion of a four-year apprenticeship
- Completion of year 12 or similar previous work experience
- High level of Communication skills
- Drivers Licence
- Be able to pass a full medical check including drug & alcohol testing
- Ability to pass a NV1 Clearance
