Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Horticulture Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for a Parks and Gardens Apprentice in Ringwood!
About the role:
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
- Assist the horticultural team with general parks and gardens maintenance including mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching, brush-cutting, spraying, and basic repairs.
- Help monitor parks and report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues.
- Complete daily paperwork such as timesheets and maintenance records.
- Take part in training and learning as part of the apprenticeship program.
- Use and look after tools, vehicles, and equipment safely while following Council policies and procedures
What we're looking for - Skills & Experience
- A genuine interest in parks and gardens or outdoor work
- Ability to commit to a full-time 3-year apprenticeship, including practical studies
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, work in a team, and demonstrate reliability.
- Good physical fitness, with strong attention to safety and detail.
