Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the manufacturing and production industry MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for an apprentice in Castle Hills.
About the role:
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in
- Assist with installation, assembly, alignment, and dismantling of mechanical equipment
- Support preventative and breakdown maintenance on machinery such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
- Learn to diagnose mechanical faults and assist with repairs under supervision
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and correctly
- Assist with bearing changes, seals, lubrication, and basic mechanical overhauls
- Carry out basic welding and spray-painting tasks as part of workshop and maintenance activities
- Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and manuals
What we're looking for - Skills & Experience
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Some hands-on or practical experience (e.g. school workshop, mechanical hobbies, or general labouring) highly regarded
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and contribute as part of a team
- Physically capable of working full days on your feet in a manufacturing/workshop environment
- Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills desirable for trade-based work
