Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Engineering Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for a Trainee in Mundijong WA!
About the role:
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assist the Engineering team with basic design tasks for roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience in drafting and planning.
- Support project setup by helping gather information, organising quotes, and assisting with simple cost estimates.
- Learn to prepare line marking and signage plans and help coordinate approvals and installation under guidance.
- Help coordinate project activities by communicating with internal teams, contractors, and consultants, and assisting with general admin tasks.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to learn how projects are delivered and ensure work meets required standards.
What we're looking for - Skills & Experience
- Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and an interest in learning CAD software
- A basic understanding of civil infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance (including roads, drainage, and public spaces)
