IT Traineeship - Retrac (Microsoft Program)

MEGT is partnering with Retrac, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Partner, to recruit an IT Trainee ready to launch their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Program
The Microsoft Traineeship Program is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in IT. You will be employed by MEGT and placed with Retrac, gaining hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Information Technology, along with Microsoft certifications.
About the Role
This is a full-time, 24-month traineeship based within Retrac's Service Desk team, supporting a diverse client base across Australia. You will begin by providing first-line IT support to end users, learning how to troubleshoot issues, manage tickets, and support modern Microsoft cloud environments. As your skills develop, you will gain exposure to technologies such as Microsoft 365, Intune, security tools, and automation platforms, with clear pathways into more advanced engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support via phone, remote tools, and ticketing systems
- Log, manage, and resolve service requests in line with service desk processes
- Support Microsoft 365 environments including Windows 11, Intune, and Defender
- Assist with user account setup and access management
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Escalate more complex issues to senior engineers when required
- Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates
- Support both remote and occasional onsite client environments
