Carpentry Apprentice

OPT Concrete is a civil formwork, and concrete subcontractor based in Melbourne, and our current workload consists of several projects located throughout Metropolitan Melbourne including Melbourne Airport and the North-East Link.

We are seeking hardworking Apprentice Carpenter(s) who wish to further develop their skills in terms of formwork construction, and join our dedicated team on a full-time basis across multiple sites. 

Daily duties will include setting-out, assistance with pour preparation, and construction/stripping formwork; additional experience and exposure will be offered regarding detailed excavation, steel-fixing, and concrete works.

To be successful you will need to have the following:  
Must have: 

• A white card 
• Driver's licence, and own reliable transport
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools 
• Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry (formwork)
• Physically fit and capable 
• Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred but not essential:

• Completed a pre-apprenticeship
