CNC Apprentice
SixDe Pty Ltd, located at O’Connor, Western Australia is a precision engineering company delivering complex, high-quality solutions across energy, resources, robotics, infrastructure, medical and defence industries. We specialise in one-off prototypes and small batch production — and we’re looking for a motivated, full-time 2nd or 3rd year CNC Machining apprentice ready to take the next step in their career.
What you will learn:
- You will be trusted to set up jobs including operating and programming CNC machines (lathe & milling), interpret drawings, and contribute to problem-solving alongside experience machinists.
- Precision measurement and quality assurance
- Workshop Safety and maintenance procedures
- Working with a variety of complex materials and tight-tolerance work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid Australian Working Rights
- You must be a team player, with a strong commitment to getting the job done.
What we are looking for:
- We are particularly interested in 2nd or 3rd year apprentices who have hands on CNC experience and are looking to complete their apprenticeship in a high-end, precision-focused workshop.
- A keen interest in engineering and machining
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Team player with a strong work ethic
Requirements:
- Year 11 or 12 completion (preferred)
- No prior experience required – just a passion for engineering!
- Australian work rights
