Apprentice Motorcycle Mechanic

Race Center Melbourne, is a specialised performance and motorcycle workshop. We deal with servicing high end motorcycles, race bikes, performance & dyno tuning, as well as general servicing.

We are looking for a new apprentice to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate, you will not only be exposed to top end motorcycles, but also work with a team that will be provide a great environment for you to conduct your apprenticeship.

We are looking for a 1st year apprentice but are open to apprentices that have already begun their apprenticeships elsewhere or are further into their apprenticeship

In order to be successful you will need to:

• be highly motivated
• be punctual and reliable
• already have some knowledge and skills with the use of tools. Even if just at home or as a hobby.
• have good problem solving skills
• have a mechanical brain and enjoy understanding how things work
• be prepared to do all the tedious tasks such as cleaning bikes, cleaning the workshop and cleaning parts for the other technicians
• want to be a motorcycle mechanic. Liking motorcycles alone is not enough. Liking them and wanting to be a motorcycle mechanic are two different things.
• have a good attitude and a confident communicator
• be hard working
• have had some previous work experience or completed a pre-apprenticeship
• be physically fit and capable
• lives a reasonable distance from our workshop

This opportunity is NOT subtitle for someone

• that has no experience using tools or fixing things
• someone that has never had any form of job or done a pre-apprenticeship
• is not prepared to do the hard yards and earn their stripes
