Finish Your Trade With a Company That Will Keep You On

MXF Services is a well-established and respected sheet metal fabrication company specialising in dust and fume extraction systems, industrial ventilation, and custom fabrication.

We are looking for a driven 4th Year Apprentice who wants to finish their trade in a professional, well-run workshop and transition into a full-time tradesperson role.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Primarily workshop-based (minimal site work)
  • Work on varied, high-quality fabrication – not repetitive production
  • Exposure to stainless, aluminium, and custom-built systems
  • Opportunity to step up in responsibility as you approach completion
  • Long-term position available after apprenticeship completion

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Interpreting and working from detailed fabrication drawings
  • Fabricating components from mild steel, stainless, aluminium, and galvanised
  • MIG & TIG welding across a range of applications
  • Operating fabrication equipment (guillotines, folders, rollers, etc.)
  • Assembling and fitting complete systems
  • Carrying out finishing and quality assurance work

What We’re Looking For

  • 4th Year Apprentice (or strong 3rd year close to completion)
  • Confident reading and working from drawings
  • Solid fabrication and welding fundamentals
  • Takes pride in producing clean, accurate work
  • Reliable, motivated, and wants to improve
  • Driver’s licence – essential

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Consistent hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
  • Stable, long-term workshop role
  • Supportive team with experienced tradespeople
  • Clean, well-organised workshop
  • Clear pathway to ongoing employment as a qualified tradesperson
