Trojan Recruitment has a great opportunity available for a 3rd year Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to work with a well known and established Australian brand paper manufacturer located in Box Hill.

Our client is focused on growing and building their team. They are seeking self motivated individuals who want to kick start their trade career in an environment that supports learning and development.

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Motivated and willing to learn
  • Hold a current driver’s license
  • Self-disciplined and capable to complete theory component of the apprenticeship
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Be trustworthy, hard-working and take pride in your work
  • A good communicator

About the position:

  • Preventative maintenance of machines on site
  • Repairing and fault finding on machines
  • Fault analysis of industrial machines
  • Improve machine efficiency
  • Completion of daily line set-ups according to schedule and standard set-up procedures.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • General maintenance, repairing and fabrication as required
  • Project installation and scoping
  • Have the ability to read and understand engineering and pneumatic drawings
  • Work with hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Work and learn from experienced Tradespeople with a wealth of knowledge to share
  • Growth opportunities within the business
  • Full-time permanent
  • Hourly rate + overtime and allowances available
