4‑Year Apprenticeship

Start an exciting career path in the crane industry by becoming an Apprentice Mobile Crane Technician with Tadano Oceania, a member of the Tadano Group, one of the world’s leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in mobile cranes.

Based at Lytton, as an Apprentice Mobile Crane Technician, you will complete a structured four‑year apprenticeship working alongside highly skilled Tadano specialised crane technicians. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain hands‑on experience maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mobile cranes featuring advanced electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

What You’ll Learn

  • Diagnosis, servicing, and repair of mobile cranes
  • Working with sophisticated electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Maintenance and repair of heavy vehicle driveline systems
  • Fault‑finding using OEM diagnostic tools
  • Safe work practices in a professional workshop and field environment

Training & Development

  • Completion of Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (AUR31220)
  • In‑house OEM training to develop specialist crane skills
  • Mentoring from experienced crane technicians
  • Exposure to industry‑leading equipment and technology
