A Splash of Colour Painting & Decorating currently has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Painter to join our team.
We are offering a four-year apprenticeship that combines hands-on, on-the-job training with formal study, leading to a nationally recognised Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
This position is based in Nabiac and surrounding areas, offering above-award wages and a generous travel allowance. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we strongly encourage female applicants.

Working alongside qualified and experienced painters, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out measurements and calculations
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
- Handling painting and decorating materials
- Using painting tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Removing and reinstalling doors, windows, and components
- Preparing surfaces for painting
- Applying paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Applying textured coatings using a variety of techniques
The successful candidate will:
- Be reliable and hardworking
- Be able to pass a Working With Children Check
- Be motivated with a genuine interest in the industry
- Demonstrate honesty and trustworthiness
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to reliable transport (essential due to the nature of the role)
