Retail Butchery Apprentice

The Willetton Butcher is a family run old school butcher offering all categories of butchery. There is currently an opportunity for an apprentice butcher to join the team. You will be working closely with experienced butchers who will give you valuable hands on training along with the benefit of their experience, mentoring and support throughout your apprenticeship.  

No prior experience is necessary if you are keen to secure employment within the food industry, willing to learn and can show you are a team player. The store is open 7 days per week from 8am-6pm, the position is a 38 hour full time opportunity working on a roster during these hours.

Your main duties include but not limited to: 

• Prepare, slice and trim meat products  
• Produce and sell value-added products 
• Providing great customer service when required 
• Apply hygiene and sanitation practices to WHS Standards 

The ideal candidate will: 

• Have a passion for the meat industry 
• Be punctual & reliable 
• Keen to learn all aspects of the trade 
• Be well presented
