Carpentry Apprentice
Allwood Stairs has an opportunity for a Carpentry Apprentice to join our team on the Central Coast.
We design, manufacture and install premium timber staircases for builders and homeowners. This apprenticeship is hands-on and varied: you will start in our factory learning the foundations (materials, machining, assembly and finishing), then progressively spend time on site learning how to install timber stairs with our experienced installers.
This is a great opportunity for someone local who wants a long-term trade, is physically fit, and takes pride in quality work.
To be successful you will need:
- Genuine interest in carpentry and working with timber
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, working on site)
- Reliable and punctual with a good attitude
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (or a strong willingness to learn quickly)
- Driver licence (required) and ability to get to and from the factory and job sites
- Based on the Central Coast (or close enough to commute daily)
Preferred but not essential:
- White Card
- Completed a pre-apprenticeship
- Own basic tools (we will provide tools/equipment required for the job)
If you are ready to work hard, learn a valuable trade, and be part of a team that produces high-quality staircases, please send through your resume and a short note about why you want a carpentry apprenticeship with Allwood Stairs.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
