The Role
This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will learn all aspects of locksmithing and security manufacturing while working alongside experienced tradespeople.
You will learn to:
- Assist with manufacturing, installing, maintaining and servicing locks and security products
- Support workshop manufacturing and project work
- Use hand and power tools safely (full training provided)
- Assist qualified Locksmiths and other Trade Technicians on site
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety
- Build practical trade skills every week

- Are a school leaver wanting a trade
OR - Are a 1st–4th year Apprentice Locksmith seeking a transfer
- Are reliable and show up on time
- Enjoy hands-on practical work
- Have a strong work ethic
- Can follow instructions and work in a team
- Want a long-term career (not just a job)
Attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are essential.
Requirements
- Australian working rights
- Driver’s licence (or working towards)
- White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to obtain Police Clearance
- Physically fit for hands-on work
- Willing to complete Certificate III in Locksmithing (MEM30819)
