Benalla Golf Club is entering an exciting period of transformation, and we are seeking a motivated 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice GreenkeeperGreenkeeper to join our team and help drive the next phase of the Club's development.
About Benalla Golf Club
Benalla Golf Club is a progressive regional club with a strong membership base and a clear vision for the future. The Club is currently undertaking:
- Staged irrigation upgrades
- Trial Introduction of robotic mowing technology
- Ongoing course presentation improvements
- Planned clubhouse and facility upgrades
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with daily course operations and staff supervision
- Supporting irrigation management and upcoming system upgrades
- Working with new technologies, including robotic mowing systems
- Contributing to course presentation, maintenance programs, and renovations
- Acting as 2IC and providing leadership in the Head Greenkeeper's absence
- Playing an active role in the Club's future development plans
About You
We are looking for someone who is not just filling a role, but looking for a pathway forward.
You will ideally have:
- Close to completing a green keeping qualification
- Experience working on a golf course in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to embrace change
- Interest in modern practices, technology, and course improvement
- Leadership capability or the desire to grow into a senior role
- Minimum 1-2 years of golf course maintenance experience essential
- Valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa required
Previous experience with irrigation systems and/or automated mowing technology will be well regarded, but is not essential.
