Engineering Apprentice (Fitter and Turner)
We currently have an opportunity for the right person (in particular, school leavers and aspiring apprentices and trainees) to undertake a Fitter Machinist apprenticeship.
We encourage applications from students who are currently undertaking or have completed Year 11 or 12 and demonstrate strong analytical abilities, especially in mathematics or the sciences.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Certificate III Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
In return, you will be exposed to and supported with:
- Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment
- Manual and CNC machine operation, 3D printing
- Assisting with root cause analysis investigations
- Completing inspection and test plans consistent with meeting corporate compliance standards
- Providing troubleshooting advice and reliability solutions
- Preparing repair work quotations, associated documentation and scheduling of jobs for repair.
