Plumbing Apprentice
3rd and 4th Year Apprentice Plumber – Diagnostics and Fault finding, Replacements & Upgrades
Full Time | 10:00am–6:00pm | Structured Workflow | Career Growth
CheckHero is expanding and launching a specialist Repairs & Upgrades Division, and we’re looking for 3rd and 4th year plumbing apprentices who want to build strong, real-world skills in gas diagnostics, leak detection, and appliance repairs — not just basic install work.
This is an ideal role for apprentices who want to fast-track their gas experience and develop into highly skilled technicians.
The Role
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians focusing on:
- Gas leak detection & pressure testing
- Fault finding & diagnostics on gas systems
- Appliance repairs (heaters, hot water, cooktops)
- Identifying and rectifying compliance issues
-
Assisting with appliance replacements and upgrades
This is hands-on, technical work where you’ll learn how to diagnose problems — not just install and leave.
Why Join CheckHero?
- Specialised training in gas diagnostics & fault finding
- Move beyond basic plumbing into high-skill technical work
- Structured systems and workflow (no chaos jobs)
- Growing division with real career progression

You don’t need to be an expert — that’s what we’ll teach you.
We provide structured training in:
- Gas leak detection techniques
- System diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Appliance fault finding and repairs
- Compliance and safety standards
If you’ve got solid fundamentals and the right attitude, we’ll build the rest.

Industry Outlook
Looking ahead to March 2027, rental properties will increasingly require:
