Apprentice Chef - (1st/ 2nd or 3rd year) 

We have a great opportunity for an apprentice chef to work in a professional hotel kitchen. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in a very reliable industry.

Duties and Experience will include:

• General cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation and scullery areas, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen and dining areas
• Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking including peeling chopping grating crumbing garnishes and seasonings
• Plating food
• Handling storing and distributing goods
• Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
• Responsibility for the preparation, cooking and preparation of all food items in the kitchen
• Care and maintenance of equipment
• Ensuring compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act
• Other duties as delegated
• Liaison with other departments
