About the Role
As a 1st Year Carpentry Apprentice, you will work alongside qualified carpenters to gain hands‑on experience across a range of residential construction projects. You will be enrolled in and committed to completing a Certificate III in Carpentry while developing practical, on‑site skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified carpenters with framing, pre sheet, fix‑outs, and general carpentry tasks
- Safely operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Measure, cut, and assemble building materials
- Load and unload materials and maintain organised worksites
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Work effectively within a team to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Silica Awareness Certification
- Asbestos Awareness Certification
- Genuine interest in carpentry and residential construction
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and well‑presented
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
