Carpentry Apprentice
Welcome to ATG Carpentry & Joinery!
We have ongoing work across all areas of the carpentry trade, including:
- Roof framing and wall framing
- Interior joinery (doors, skirting, trim work)
- Decking and cladding
Job Locations:
Mostly within a 30km radius of Cockburn, with occasional jobs as far as Mandurah.
About the Role:
As an Apprentice Carpenter, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of residential projects, working directly with Zac, the owner of ATG. With 15 years of carpentry experience, Zac will teach you essential skills and guide you in building a strong career, all while completing your Certificate III in Carpentry!
To be successful, you will need*:
- A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- The ability to work well in a team
- A valid driver’s licence and a reliable car
*This position would suit a recent school leaver
It’s even better if you have:
- A White Card (or willingness to obtain one)
- Basic starter tools (or willingness to build up over time)
- A current police clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Certificate II in Building & Construction (Carpentry Pre-Apprenticeship)
A few things to know:

Basic tool knowledge is required, like safely using a circular saw, drill, and hammer. Don’t worry if you’re just starting out, we’ll help you build your skills.

You’ll start with a 1-day paid trial at a casual day hire rate. It’s a fantastic way to get a real feel for the work, show off your skills, and see if ATG is the right fit for you.
