Building Industry Training Pty Ltd (BIT) is one of Australia’s top 10 Registered Training Organisations (RTO #40785) and continues to expand its footprint across Queensland and Northern NSW from our Gold Coast headquarters. With offices in Arundel, Toowong and the Livingstone Shire, BIT provides onsite training and assessment services, primarily delivering Certificate III qualifications across the building and construction industry.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Trainee to join our team and support day‑to‑day operations across multiple departments including Administration, Compliance, Training Services and Business Development.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to gain practical administrative experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.


About the Position
As a Business Administration Trainee, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including:

  • Schools & educational facilities
  • Apprenticeship Connect Providers (ACAPs)
  • Building & construction employers, GTOs and industry partners
  • Apprentices and students
  • Government departments and industry bodies

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and eager to learn. We are looking for a proactive team player who takes pride in their work and contributes to a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
(Training will be provided)

  • Responding to emails, phone calls and internal messages.
  • Screening apprentice applicants and matching them to suitable job vacancies, including sending applicant details to employers and arranging work trials when required.
  • Entering and updating student and employer information in our CRM (aXcelerate).
  • Assisting with student enrolments and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting inbound and outbound communication with students, employers and ACAPs.
  • Preparing documentation, forms and training materials.
  • Digital research and engagement through websites and social media platforms.
  • Ordering office supplies and promotional materials.
  • Customer service support, follow-ups and appointment coordination.
  • Filing, data entry, record maintenance and general office duties.


Hours & Location
Full‑time traineeship – Monday to Friday
7:30am to 3:30pm
Based at our Arundel office, Gold Coast

What We are Looking For

  • Interest in business administration and eagerness to build long‑term skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work both independently and in a team.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and software.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to completing the traineeship qualification.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (or currently hold one).
  • Drivers Licence an advantage 
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check.
  • Calm, confident and approachable personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to representing BIT professionally at all times.
