Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated school leaver to commence a Cabinet Making apprenticeship / traineeship through MEGT, hosted by Coffs Harbour Kitchens.

This role is suited to someone interested in hands-on manufacturing, learning a trade, and gaining exposure to cabinet design and CAD drawing. Full training will be provided both on the job and through formal training.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, the successful applicant will learn and assist with:
  • Cabinet and joinery manufacturing processes
  • Safe operation of hand tools and machinery
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling cabinetry components
  • Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
  • Exposure to CAD design software and understanding how designs are translated into manufactured products
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
  • Complying with workplace health and safety requirements
