Horticulture Apprentice
Green Thumb Horticulture currently have an exciting opportunity for a Horticulture apprentice to join our team!
You will be working alongside our highly skilled and qualified tradespeople learning and mastering your trade.
We do mostly landscape maintenance, with some softscaping included, not limited to irrigation, planting, mulching and small garden landscapes.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- To assist in maintaining and developing the designated areas to the required standard in a timely manner.
- Assist in the maintenance and construction of new/replacement garden beds and tree maintenance/planting.
- Grass cutting (using walk-behind, ride-on and our-front mowers, edges and brush cutters).
- General tidying up and rubbish removal.
- Weed control (manual removal and minor herbicide use).
- Assure quality of work is performed to a high standard in accordance with expected standards.
- Complete study and on job components to meet qualification requirements for Cert III Horticulture, which includes travel for training purposes.
To be successful you will need to have the following:
Must have:
- Ability to undertake manual/physical work.
- Genuine interest in landscaping.
- Punctual, reliable and energetic.
- Ability to work outside in various Weather conditions.
- Australian Drivers Licence
