Hydraulic Fitter Apprentice

PV Hydraulics rebuild, recondition and sell all types of hydraulic components across many industries including construction, agricultural, service and mining. Our company is one of the oldest Hydraulic Companies in Australia.

PV Hydraulics have a great opportunity for a motivated individual looking to do an Apprenticeship as a Fitter and Machinist within the Hydraulic Industry. We will also consider candidates from 1st-4th year and potentially outside the industry who are looking for a challenge.

The Role

As part of our team you will learn:

• To strip, diagnose and repair all brands of Hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders and valves.
• General Machining and Fitting.
• How to test completed jobs on our test rig.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose Hydraulic Machinery.

Essential Requirements

• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Completed Year 10.
• Good written and verbal English skills.
• Competent in Math and Science.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
• A motivated and curious attitude with the ability to learn on the job.
• High attention to detail.

Preferred

• Previous Mechanical and Hands on experience.
• A passion for Engineering.
• Driver’s Licence.
