Apprentice Butcher
We have a position available for an apprentice butcher to complete a Certificate III in Meat Processing Butchery.
Our Meat processing room is fast paced with a mix of wholesale and retail work being completed.
You will need to be passionate about food, career driven and a team player. Training for an apprentice butcher covers basic butchery skills, knife skills, knowledge of meat processing, use of commercial equipment and procedures
Your main duties include but not limited to:
- Assisting butchers in preparation of cuts of meat
- Making of value added products
- Training to learn procedures and duties in
- Working under the supervision of the head butcher
- Operating commercial mincers, sausage fillers, band saw and other machines as needed
- Processing room wash down and food safe regulations
- Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage

- We accept apprentices that have already started their trade elsewhere
