Natural Areas Trainee

We work in partnership with local councils, government agencies, and private clients to deliver sustainable solutions for weed control, bushland restoration, and habitat conservation. Our team is committed to protecting and enhancing natural landscapes, ensuring healthier ecosystems for future generations.
We are seeking several enthusiastic, motivated and passionate people to embark on a traineeship within the natural areas/bush regeneration industry. Successful candidates will work under supervision and will learn about hands-on bush regeneration, planting techniques, weed control techniques and methodologies including safe use of appropriate chemicals. They will develop strong weed and native ID skills and utilise small power tools with the aim to become an efficient, knowledgeable and self-motivated bush regeneration/conservation worker.
These skills and knowledge will be developed through practical field work and some theory sessions. Successful candidates have the opportunity to obtain their Cert III Conservation & Ecosystem Management after completion of their probation period.
The successful applicant must possess a passion for the environment and demonstrate:
- A willingness to undertake hands on field based work;
- Initiative and flexibility;
- An ability to work within fast paced and hard working teams;
- A high level of physical fitness and be prepared to undertake a drug and alcohol testing;
- White card/Safety Construction Card or ability to obtain prior to commencement;
- Valid drivers licence;
- Own vehicle to get to and from base in Stapylton (company vehicles are then driven to site).
